Central Michigan
Rifle & Pistol League

CMRPL is made up of two divisions, Rifle and Pistol.  Both divisions use .22 caliber rimfire ammunition with a 40 grain lead bullet.  Rifle matches consist of 40 shots total.  10 shots each in the four basic rifle firing positions, prone, standing, sitting, and kneeling for a possible 400 total points.  Pistol matches consist of 90 shots total.  20 shots each in slow, timed, and rapid fire.  Plus a National Match Course made up of 10 shots each in slow, timed, and rapid fire for a possible 900 total points.  The teams shoot indoors at a distance of 50 feet.  The leagues runs 15 weeks during the winter months, generally from December through April.
